Chords

Ukulele chords from his original unreleased original YouTube video: Update 27 January 2023 - I have added the rest of the song to match the official lyric video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlSsYozbH2w Capo 2 to play along with the official lyric video. For the C5* chords, play a Csus4 (0013) and hammer on to the 3rd fret of the E string for the C5. For the F*, hammer on to the 2nd fret of the G string. Although he doesn't add hammers on his A chords on the guitar, I do find that it sounds nice to hammer on to the A string of some of the G chords on the ukulele. He seems to be avoiding the high E string in this song and I find that, for the most part, avoiding the G string for everything except the F* hammer ons gives the same feeling on the ukulele (though it still sounds fine if you do play it). [Chords] Csus4 0013 C5 0033 F 2013 G 0232 Am 2000 [Verse 1]
                 C5* C5*
I still hit them dive bars

      F C5
Every once in a blue moon

      C5* C5*
Got a wild card

C F C5
I keep inside my boot

         G F C5
I been thinking lately maybe I should save it

             G F C5
'Cause them hangovers sure kick my ass these days

            Am G F* F*
So I spend most my happy hours here at home

        F* G C5 C5*
In the middle of growin' up and gettin' old
[Chorus]
          C5* C5* F* C5
But I can still raise hell all night with the boys when I want to

         C5* C5* G
Lay that hammer down to see how fast she'll go

          C5* C5* F* C5
But these days I hang my hat on what I won't do

              C5* C5* G
And I've been finding peace of mind slowin' my roll

         Am G F F*
Learn to toe that line with time as it goes

It's when you start thinking

How much time left you got

           C5* C5*
If there's more sand

In the bottom or the top

            G F C5
'Cause that hour glass we have don't last forever

            G F C5
I've been thinkin' 'bout it more and more these days
