a bit of explanation ;)
The guitar and bass are playing each their common chord progression, but not the same :)
So they kind of diverge, shift around and come together again.
This idea of different layers makes up much of the athmosphere of the song.
Bass part throughout the whole song:
| C#m G#m | A E D# |
| C#m B | A E D# |
Guitar part Intro:
| C#m B | A B |
Guitar part Chorus:
| C#m B | A G#m B |
Combining those two layers happens in second half of intro, first chorus, and second half of 3rd chorus.
For the rest it's more the bass alone, guitar adding sounds or a single C#m sound
(which would be another layer, too.)
To mix the ideas, I write these chords with slashes / here, for example B/E.
Remember the guitar would only do the upper chord (here B), the bass of course the lower part (here E).
Ok go!
