The first 4 notes are played on the first time round but only the riff from 2/A on the G string till the end are looped Having finished looping this (very gro0vy) bass line, Tom then plays the [Lead] again and then at a higher octave before soloing. This rendition is in Dmajor (seems like he transposed "What's the Use?") so solo in D or it's relative minor, Bm.
