A F#m
Does your mother tell you things

                    A
Long, long when I'm gone

                   F#m
Who you talking to

Is she telling you I'm the one

       D
It's a grave mistake

        A E/G# F#m E D E
And I'm wide awake

A F#m
Drive-in's rained out

                           A
Weatherman wet fingers the sky
He pokes it out
   F#m
He pulls it in

He don't know why

         D E
It's the same mistake

                            A E/G# F#m E D E

A F#m

Just on trips
A F#m
We haven't seen a thing

                          E
We still don't know where it is

       D E

It's been a long time coming

D A
Well, well it's all the same mistake

                   D
Dead to rights and wide awake

                A
I'll drop a caribou

                D
I'll tell on you

                F#m E D E
I'll tell on you

A F#m
You got a boat load of nerve

                            A
But I would say you've been told

                          F#m
You work me against my friends

                               E
And you'll get left out in the cold

         D E
It's the same mistake
Chorus From: [email protected] ('Yoast' Nicasie) Subject: CRD/LYR: Long time running - Tragically Hip This is the first time I post something here, so all comments are welcome. I know this song only from a Dutch radio-show where all kind of bands come and play, sort of semi-unplugged, so it's maybe a little different from the original (which I don't really know). This song also appears on a CD of this radio-show: 2 Meter Sessies, Vol. 3. (Radio Records VCD 474724 2, distribution by Sony). On these CD's (Vol. 5 is out now) are a lot of famous bands, playing very-good-to-play-yourself-acousticly versions of well- or less well-known songs. I'm planning to post a few more if it's appreciated, let me know. Long time running - Tragically Hip A - A/G# - A/F# - A/E - Dadd2 - E
