So we all know this is the greatest surprise song mashup and I have listened to it a hundred times. The chords below are pretty much right, but I wanted to add a bit more about how she plays it on the piano.
For a good portion through she's playing a pattern where she puts the emphasis like this:
ONE and two AND three and four
For a lot of the first verses and intro it's really close to what she plays if you just keep playing A and D in the right hand and going through the chords in the left. I think she's not playing a full chord in the right and also that shes not changing it through the song much.
I find if you hit the left hand notes in the emphasis pattern above its close.
The D is the one right above middle C, the A just below it.
You can add some dynamics by alternatively playing the upper and lower octave notes on the ONE and two AND
three and four. You can only really use the full octave on the D, Bm and A/C# though.
This is really effective as the song picks up.
When she gets to the choruses you can add more depth by changing the right hand to G and D for the G chords,
and B and D for Bm but use A and D for the others. I also do this change during the Long Live parts.
You can also add more dynamics later in the song by adding extra emphasis on the four. So it would go:
ONE and two AND three and FOUR and
She might actually be doing this for the whole song, but I like adding it later to feel like I'm
building to something. There are bits where she is definitly adding the full octave in the right too,
but its not really obvious and you can have fun figuring it out.
Keep playing the same pattern all through the Long Live parts, you can experiment with how much she is
changing the chord pattern, but even if you stick to exactly the same the or four notes you'll get something
really close.
