Song Title: Sing For The Day Artist: Styx (Tommy Shaw) Tabbed by: bmchrestoff (December 1978 to March 17, 2018) IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE NOTES: 1) Great Advanced Acoustic Guitar song to practice in order to get your timing and strumming technique in top shape. Tommy Shaw also pulls off a few very difficult chord changes and chord progressions that are quite impressive 2) Tommy Shaw does Not do 6 or 12 String Full Neck Barre Chords. He uses his thumb to wrap around the neck and grab the Low E String(s) 3) Good luck strumming at the rate of one Chord / Word in the Chorus'. This will take a good amount of practice to say the least 4) Just as difficult is the 4 X 4 (Bb/F to Bb6/G) stretch Tommy manages during the Verses. Yes Tommy actually wrote the song to include this near impossible chord change. He can do this 4 x 4 on his Taylor 12 String which is quite a remarkable feat (while singing) 5) Another very difficult chord chande occurs duing the first line of each Verse. Most attemps to tab this song show a C to Cadd9 Chord change. It is not.
