Song: The Boy-Girl Song Artist: Mr. Steve Vai Tabbed By: bmchrestoff (January 15, 1997 to July 11, 2020) IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE NOTES: 1) To nail this song you A: MUST use the FULL Open Position E5 chord grip w/ your pinky holding down the G String at the 4rth fret and B: The next chord is NOT a G but is actually a Gmaj7(omit 3) 2) The Full E5 (0 2 2 4 0 0)chord is not an easy chord to grip. Your index finger must bend backwards a good bit in order to make clearence for the B and high E strings so they can ring out freely w/ zero buzzing 3) The full E5 to Gmaj7(omit 3) is a tricky switch at 107 BPM. Gmaj7(3 X 0 0 0 2) also works just as well (I'm sure Steve will understand) 4) Steve double tracks his guitars on this song and essentially plays the same chord grips expect on the Guitar 2 simply omits playing the high E String. On Guitar 1 he does incorporate the High E String in all the chords he plays.
