IMPORTANT PERFORMANCE NOTES: 1) Great song to play acoustically either as a solo act or w/ a second
acoustic guitar to thicken and broaden the general tonality of the
song
2) The two guitars are tabbed to follow the general tonality of the
keyboards and electric guitars. In doing so you will notice that
Guitar 1 and Guitar 2 at times use quite different chord grips
during the same measure. This makes for a very interesting mix of
tones at various points in the song. For instance look at the line in
the Chorus "Over a long time ago....oh yeah". Guitar 1 plays an Am/C,
D, C, Fmaj7 progression while Guitar 2 plays an Am7, Bm7, Cmaj7 and
landing on an Fmaj7 played in the first position. When played as a duo
the effect is very impressive
3) If played as a solo act the performance can be pulled from either
the Guitar 1 or Guitar 2 tab or a combination to the two
4) The traditional Electric Guitar solo from the recording has been
deleted in favor of two acoustics playing the backing rhythm
using differnt chord grips to give a more interesting and fuller sound
5) The Outro and Ending are simply how I play them. You can repeat the
Outro as you wish
