I originally started to tab this with palm-muted power chords played clean
with electric guitar because the guitar is subtly mixed into the background
under the keyboard, bass and vocal tracks on the original recording. That is,
other than the Intro and Solo guitars. But I then watched performances by the
band and acoustic solo performances by Difford and Tillbrook on video,
listened more carefully, and found that an acoustic guitar seems to be playing
open chords buried under the other tracks. When playing with the recording or
with a full band, I might still play palm muted power chords to merely accent
the bass and keyboards. I've provided the chord names for that purpose (just
ignore the extended spellings and play the root power chord). So this is both
a complete tab (with the instrumental riffs and solo) and a chord sheet.
These full chords can be played either with the recording, performing with a
band, or performing alone. Played with a band the guitar volume should be
lower than keyboard, bass and vocals like the recording.
