- This is an advanced, harmonically accurate chord chart for Aqua Regia.
(Just like my previous The Love You Want one)
- The intention is an accurate guitar chart, that is also usable for any other instrument arrangements
including piano as in the original song.
- All the other versions have an E chord in the verses, which is kinda incorrect since the harmony stays
quite fixed while the bass goes down to E. E would mean there's a B and G# played and they're not in the
original.
- There's ways of simplifying the song to less chords and/or less extensions.
- On acoustic I play it in standard tuning fingerpicked up until the second chorus where I change to a pick.
- The bridge I recommend fingerpicked too.
Below are some of the special voicing suggestions, everything else I play the standard voicings based around
the E and A strings as roots only. These are here to help, but the intent of this chart is for people who can
figure out their way of playing it accurately themselves:
Dmaj7 and Dmaj9 in here I play on the A string. Only difference is I let the bottom E string ring open as the 9th.
