Chords

well i'm supposed to be studying for exams right now so i figured this would be the perfect time to dick around and write this out. the piano chords are posted on ron pope's myspace but this is just a really simple way of playing it on acoustic guitar, in a completely different key. i play it with a capo on the third fret for my voice. intro: F C G Am
F C G C (i like to add my pinky to each chord so it kind of
mimicks the piano version)
verse
F C G Am
i drove eleven hundred miles to find a photograph i'd lost

F C G C
it's just a polaroid i used to keep of a girl that i once loved

F C G Am
and sleep, it leads to nightmares, as i never can forget

F C G C
so now i'm dreaming of los angeles as the winter closes in

F C G C
said i'm dreaming of los angeles as the winter closes in

and we met seven english girls who asked if we'd like to see God

F C G C
and i'm not one for missed adventures, so i answered with a smile

F C G Am
we spent the night on razor's edge, all innocence and sin

F C G C
and now i'm strung out on the bowery as the winter closes in

F C G C
now i'm strung out on the bowery as the winter closes in
chorus:
F C G Am
and i won't cry if you can't love me like the way it used to feel

F C G C
we had our summer on long island, now there's wounds that never healed

F C G Am
and i won't cry if you can't love me like the way it used to feel

F C G
we had our summer on long island, now there's wounds...that never healed
