Guitar 1: An electric guitar with some arrangement of effects, there's certainly no distortion involved
(maybe a weak chorus effect) but I'm not sure how exactly to replicate its sound. It will sound cooler and
more fitting if you play everything as close to the bridge as possible.
Guitar 2: A little bit distorted, not necessarily. This sounds similar to guitar 1 but they are distinct.
Guitar 3: Fairly distorted, this guitar won't be too prevalent throughout the song so the main thing to know
is it should sound dirty.
You should definitely go through this tab using the song as well, as I'm terrible about showing timing
in tablature and matching the lyrics with the notes perfectly.
Some quick notes before I get into other details:
- When R.E.M. played this song live, it seemed like they only had two (arguably lamer) guitar parts, which
were both acoustic and slightly different from the parts I've shown here. They were basically just the chords
for each section played in a fancy way.

[Intro 2] This section seems to only have Guitar 1 in terms of guitar, but if you don't have a violinist to
play with you, Guitar 2 can take on the task of the violin line by playing what I'm going to tab for Guitar 2
and letting every note ring out.
This is all I have so far, but I'll likely finish the song at some point. What
I've already tabbed out is basically just repeated for the rest of the song with some variation.
