--------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Written by: Paddy McAloon Released in 1982 Now on: “38 Carat Collection” Tuning: Half-step down (Eb-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-Eb) The beautiful debut by one of my favourite bands: Prefab Sprout’s first single. These chords sound pretty original. That is because this here is mostly a transcription of a chord sheet by the songwriter Paddy McAloon himself: https://www.lloydcole.com/newold-prefab-sprout/ The original is not very readable, though, so I tried to improve it in this respect and added some notes to the chords to make it sound good when played alone without a band. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHORDS/SPECIAL VOICINGS I had to give names to some of these chords which was not always easy, as they are rather idiosyncratic. Who has got better ideas? – I’m open for suggestions.
