Chords

The intro and choruses are fingerpicked, time signature is 6/8. The riff goes like this:
   1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & 6 & | 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & 6 & | 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & 6 & | 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 & 5 & 6 & |
e|-------------------------|-------------------------|-------------------------|-------------------------|
B|-0-----------1p0---------|-------------------------|-------------------------|-------------0-----------|
G|-----0-----------0-------|-0h2---------2-----------|-2-----------2-----------|-0-----------------------|
D|---------2-----------2---|-----0-----------0-------|-----0-----------0-------|-----0-------------------|
A|-0-----------------------|---------3-----------3---|---------3-----------3---|---------2---------------|
E|-------------------------|-1-----------1-----------|-1-----------1-----------|-3-----------3-----------|
This pattern is slightly altered in the second verse (at "but in my heart I said goodbye"): After the first two bars there is one additional bar where only the stripped down G chord (same as the one at the end of the riff) is played once. The verse is basically just a simple chord progression from Am7 to F#11 to G. This is repeated 3 times, then the F#11 chord is held for 2 bars, and after that it goes back to the chorus riff. The strumming pattern is pretty easy to figure out, the important part is that the time signature changes from 6/8 to 4/4.
   Am7 F#11 G
e|-------------------------------------------------|
B|-1---------------0---------------0---------------|
G|-0---------------2---------------0---------------|
D|-2---------------3---------------0---------------|
A|-0---------------0---------------2---------------|
E|-----------------1---------------3---------------|
The bridge consists of almost the same progression, but adds a Cmaj7 chord in between the Am7 and the F#11. Again, there is a change in time signature, but this time to 5/8, which takes time to get used to. But again, the strumming pattern itself is pretty easy.
   Am7 Cmaj7 F#11 G
e|-----------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-1---------------0---------------0---------------0---------------|
G|-0---------------0---------------2---------------0---------------|
D|-2---------------2---------------3---------------0---------------|
A|-0---------------3---------------0---------------2---------------|
E|---------------------------------1---------------3---------------|
The last chorus and the outro consist of the same four chords as the bridge, this time strummed in 6/8. The pattern is a bit inconsisent, but not too hard to remember, and it also leaves a lot of room for improvisation. ************************************ | p Pull-off | h Hammer-on ************************************
