He starts by turning on the sustainer in harmonic mode and letting it ring out an open high note and then
holding a few more high notes and descending them slowly. The sustainer pickup stays on thoughout.
He also uses the mic as a slide, which is a pretty rockstar move tbh. You can just use a normal slide.
For the slide parts I will use the following notation:
[3/5\3]
This means scrape the slide from 3rd fret up to 5th fret, then back to 3rd.
[Solo - Actual Riff]
e|------------------------------| B|------------------------------| G|------------------------------| D|------------------------------| A|------------------------------| C|-0-3-2-0---2---3-----5---7----|
[Solo - Accurate to live performance]
e|------------------------------------------------------------------| B|------------------------------------------------------------------| G|------------------------------------------------------------------| D|-------------------------[20\7]-----------------------------------| A|-------------------------[20\7]-----------------------------------| C|-0-3-2-0---[5/8]-2---3----------5---3/7---high harmonic notes-----| e|-----------------------------------------------------------------------| B|-----------------------------------------------------------------------| B|-----------------------------------------------------------------------| D|-----------------------------------------------------------------------| A|--------------------------[5/12]---------------------------------------| C|-0-3-2-0---[5/10\5]-2---3-[5/12]-5---3/7---7---high harmonic notes-----|
For tone I used a Big Muff for the base Fuzz/Distortion. Then I added a flanger, some reverb and delay over
the top to get that huge spacey tone from the video.
