Notes: 1) This theme is essentially a medley of pieces of various songs including "Jumpin' At the Woodside" by Count Basie and "Woodchopper's Ball" by Woody Herman. Though the general structure is recognizable, there was a certain degree of variation in the music between different GGTDM appearances on the program. 2) Though non-traditional, the piece as transcribed generally sounds best on a ukulele strung with a wound low G. C|-0-------------2--0-------------2--0-------------2--0---------------|
G|--------------------------------------------------------------------|
Note: this is the walking bass line that let Chuck Barris and the audience
know that Gene Gene was about to appear.

Note: This part is my own representation of what is typically an improvised piano or trumpet line
played against the chords while Gene Gene spun around (and stage hands frequently pelted him with
assorted objects).

[Verse]
   Am Am F C

Note: This vamp returns as a setup for the big signature move to follow...

[Chorus]
    C C Dm7 C

G|--------0-0-0-----------0-0-0------------2-2-2-----------0-0-0----------|
Note: This is where the signature dance move (one fist up, one fist down) is synchronized
with the Eb-E horn blasts.
Finally, the band typically repeats Bridge/Chorus as needed before fade to commercial.
