The Greeks define is as your mind, will and emotion

The subconscious tells our body how to work

To walk, to talk, to sing, play guitar, breath and make our heart pump

How about our gut, its more than our just your stomach

There is a Brain Gut Connection; Parkinson’s may start in the gut

We are learning more and more about our physical body

Our spiritual side we don’t see

We have gotten to where we live only in the visible conscious side

We think we can figure it all out

We think we can fix anything with a pill

You can’t fix a broken heart a pacemaker

Or even a transplant will fix that heart

How do we defeat the flesh

So what is our flesh, that’s a hard one

On the simple level it just our physical body ,our gut is part of that

But it is more; it is something we share as one

Somehow includes all of us, individually and collectively, it's our evil self

Our subconscious mind and emotions are the spirits realm

The Holy Spirit is at work there along with the enemy

Most things cant’s be fixed with therapy or meds, those are patches

Jesus is the only one who fixes them

How do we defeat the flesh, that’s our main battle ground?

The conscious mind, our will to do what is right

G             D                        C
Fasting, following God’s laws and spirit will get it done

G             C                   D
I have done 5 -40 days fasts, just fluids on solid food

G                         D                 Em
My battle with the flesh has always been the simplest

G                                     D                     E
The sin of excess food, not alchol, drugs, sex, money, power or contort

G               D           Em
The second fast I defeated the flesh

G                  C              D
I now only eat to live not live to eat.

G           D                   C
We each have a main sin that we fight

G            d           C
That mostly never goes away

G                              D                        C
Start thinking spiritual, Think of fasting, the Bible and the Helper

G                                   C                  D
The Holy Spirit, the Helper will help you if you just ask

G                              D                   C
So start thinking of your battle of your mind heart and flesh

How do you win, simple follow Jesus, remember Luke 2-13 -14

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
