so for simplicity, you just put your index finger to a certain root note [the one which will tell the name of the chord, i.e., A5's root note is "A"], then place your ring and pinky fingers, or any other way you could play comfortably (i barre using a single finger then "kill" the strings that have to be "dead") two frets away, and obviously, on the next two strings.
