Now you can play it without using chords and just barr the top three strings and if you did that you wouldnt even have to tune the high E to D, in fact you dont HAVE to tune down at all but if you wanna play with the CD your gonna have to. But just barring the top three stings wouldnt sound as beautiful as the full chords anyway.
