The choral sections were inspired by the Georgian song 'Tsintskaro', which Kate had heard used in the soundtrack for director Werner Herzog's re-make of the vampire movie 'Nosferatu' Richard Hickox was the arranger Kate used for 'Hello Earth', and for the choral sections, rather than use a real foreign language, Richard suggested using vocalisations that just sounded like a language and Kate liked the idea.
