are all relative to the Capo placed on the 2nd fret when using standard E tuning (EADGBE). Place the Capo on
the 4th fret when using classic James Bay tuning - i.e., standard D tuning (DGCFAD). FYI, this is the same
tuning that James Bay uses in the video above and in some of his previous songs (e.g. Let It Go).
In the intro, James Bay uses a 'pluck and chuck' strumming technique (see also Stop This Train by John Mayer).
It will require you to learn how to slap the guitar while simultaneously strumming with your forefinger.
It's a very difficult strumming technique to master but very satisfying when you are able to pull it off...
