Song: More fool me Artist: Genesis Composers: Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford (but attributed on the album to the whole band) Album: Selling England by the pound Tabbed by: DJ The song sounds to be played on a couple of 12 string guitars which are not quite in tune with each other. They're not in standard pitch either, but mid-way between pitches, and in an open E tuning. The tab is my version in standard tuning, these chord voicings will not sound precisely as the open tuning ones do but are pretty darn close. In a live version from 'Genesis Archive 1967-75' they perform it a semi-tone up from the original key, in the key of B. Use a Capo at 4th fret for that one, and also a chromatic tuner to fine-tune up all the strings sharp by approx. + 25cents above standard. ORIGINAL STUDIO VERSION: In the approx. key of Bb To match this pitch, use a chromatic tuner, and fine-tune all the strings sharp by approx. +30 cents CAPO: 3rd fret (Will then sound in the approx. key of Bb) Chord names & fret positions are relative to the capo C = x32010 Am = x02210 Em7 = 022030 Cadd9 = x32030 Asus2 = x02200 Em = 022000 F6 = xx3231 D7 = xx0212 Fmaj7 = 133210 F = xx3211 D7sus4 = xx0213 Dm7 = xx0211 F6 * = xx0211 D5 = xx0235 Cmaj7 = 332000 C6 = x32210 D4 = xx0233 Bm7 = x24232 C/G = 332010 D = xx0232 Am7 = x02213 B7sus4 = x22202 G = 320033 Em6 = 022020 B7 = x21202 Dsus2/F# = xx4230 N.C. = No chords

Too long have I lay alone,

===================================================== For the GUITAR chord box diagrams to match my suggested choices you need to manually select the following choice of options by clicking on the forward/backward arrows below ten of the diagrams. All the other chord boxes should be the default first option and don't need any reselecting. As long as you are logged into your account, these choices will be saved automatically for every time you view this tab F6 F B7sus4 Am7 D5 <2 of 28> <2 of 16> <2 of 20> <3 of 46> <8 of 12> G Dsus2/F# Em7 Bm7 Em6 <2 of 27> <3 of 13> <6 of 49> <2 of 31> <2 of 50> There are two inversions of F6 in my tab, (differentiated by an asterisk in my chord legend) but unfortunately there is no facility to save both variations as chord boxes, so you will have to choose which one to display.
