Props to Dr. Leonard and all his great Dawes charts, but I felt
like his one on this song didn't quite get the feel right,
so I've gone through and made one myself.
If you're a beginner who can't quite barre yet, transpose down 4
semitones, slap a capo on the 5th fret, and you'll have a mostly
open version in the same key! For those who like some smooth barre
one-man band :)
Bsus4 B riff (rel. to capo) at end of verse: e|----7-------7--|---------------| B|--------5------|-4-------------| G|------4-------4|---------------| D|-4-------------|---------------| A|---------------|---------------| E|---------------|---------------| I don't use this, but instead appoximate it with a B barre, using an open high E string for the 4th, then the normal 3rd on the B string.
Also, at the end of the Pre-Chorus, they play a full measure of B,
then there's a soft break on the 1 of the next measure with B. I've
never seen this notated on UG, so I just wrote: | B N.C.|
For the little arpeggiated thing during the B in the bridge, I pick a B with an added 4th and 6th: e|-0 B|-4 G|-1 D|-4 A|-2 E|-x
Capo: 1st
