Chords

These chords should be a little bit cleaner, clearer and easier to follow than the other versions I've found. Gilmour beautifully uses line cliches in this song, first in Am and Dm, and then half a step up in Bbm and Ebm. All chords last two beats, except for the dominant 7ths which last 4 beats. I'm adding the voicings I use for a pleasing voice leading in the harmony and ease of playing. The basic strumming is one downstroke per beat, but to add a little more groove when I play it solo on acoustic guitar I usually use the first beat to play the bass note of the chord and the second beat to strum the full chord, except again for the dominant chords, where I hit all the chord with each strum. This song is great to play around with simple strumming patterns until you find something that works for your own style, so have fun with it!
