Written and Performed by David Gilmour on 'Front Row' BBC2 TV Date: 28th October, 2017 Played using a (new looking) black Stratocaster. I imagine the programme had a couple of minutes to fill at the end hence this solo. There are a lot of trademark double-stops but it's not so much a bendy solo more of a slidey-hammery one. Key: G Tempo: ~73 bpm (bit variable) [Solo]

Notes: I have divided solo up into manageable sections for learning (letters above tab eg [A]). Timings next to letter refers to YouTube video referenced in heading (eg [A-5.17] solo starts at 5.17) [A-5.17] Intro. Strictly pentatonic (G and C major). Several standard blues ideas. [B-5.36] Double-stops. Again pentatonic. [C-5.56] More trademark David Gilmour double-stops, note the bend to F (not F#-7b)

         suggests G mixolydian mode.
[D-6.10] Long run down some of the G major scale (F#-D-B-G-F#-D-B-G-D).
[E-6.36] Lovely chordal section. Run down the different G-chord shapes.
[F-6.46] Fade out with more of pentatonic scale.
