Song: R-E-G-R-E-T Band: Corb Lund and the Hurtin' Albertans Album: Cabin Fever (Deluxe iTunes Bonus Track) Label: New West Chorded By: ultimatelefty Well up until I decided to chord this song out, I thought it was a cover of an older country song (I think I was confused with Tammy Wynette's D-I-V-O-R-C-E). It could definitely pass as a great old country song! Anyways, whenever I couldn't find lyrics online for the song, I was very confused at first. I'm not sure if the lyrics I wrote down are correct, but hopefully they (as well as the chords) are pretty accurate.
          G C G
Well I've done some things I ain't proud to embrace

                                C D
And there's some awful truths I know I've gotta face

                  G C F
Well there's some feelings I'm not quite sure how to say

             Am D
So I'll just spell it out for you, if that's okay

    G C G C G
R-E-G-R-E-T, for what I D-O-N-E

    G C G D
R-E-G-R-E-T, is killin' me

    G C G C G
R-E-G-R-E-T, it will be the death of me

        G Am D C
that in knowin' it's way too L-A-T-E

       G C G
Well I spend my time in the taverns of the county,

                                      D
Can I confide in you, is that allowed?

             G C F
Well there's been some times they played a little loud

             Am D
So I'll just spell it out for you, I ain't too proud

R-E-G-R-E-T, for what I D-O-N-E

    G C G C G
R-E-G-R-E-T, for what I D-O-N-E

        G Am D C
that in knowin' it's way too L-A-T-E
G C G D G
       G C G
Well I look around for someone else to blame

G D
Somewhere to place the anger, and shame

        G C F
Well my friends all say it's time I douse the flame

         Am D
But I'll spell it out for you, just the same

    G C G C G
R-E-G-R-E-T, for what I D-O-N-E

    G C G D
R-E-G-R-E-T, is killin' me

    G C G C G
R-E-G-R-E-T, it will be the death of me

        G Am D C
that in knowin' it's way too L-A-T-E

        G Am D C
that in knowin' it's way too L-A-T-E

          G
too L-A-T-E
