Chords

Vintage cake. The first track from "Motorcade of Generosity." I've been playing this fun, simple song for years. It's easy to remember because both the chords and chorus go "DA DA"). I don't know this for a fact, but I've always thought this song was about the European subjugation of Native Americans (in this case, Comanches). With tongue-in-cheek lines like "you need to tighten your butt" and "if you want to have cities, you've got to build roads." He also suggests trading feathers for new clothes. It's kind of a dark political message hidden inside a carefree waltz, a classic Cake move. D [Verse]
